ISIS-Goddess of funeral rites and motherhood. Isis is the Egyptian goddess of funeral rituals. She is also regarded as the mother and protector of the pharaohs as was as the faithful consort of Osiris and dedicated mother of Horus. Isis was one of the most popular goddesses in Egypt,she had her own priests and many temples were constructed in her honor. Isis is sometimes shown as a woman with the solar disc between cow horns on her head or crowned with a throne.
